Captain Bones

Captain Bones is an open-world action-adventure role-playing game with survival mechanics. The game takes place in the Caribbean during the era of pirates and follows the story of an ordinary crew member who becomes the captain of their own ship and crew after their pirate ship sinks, leaving them stranded on a deserted island. The character is cursed to turn into a skeleton at night, and the storyline revolves around their attempt to lift the curse while facing challenging and surprising situations.

Players must gather items from the islands to create their own weapons, food, and rafts in order to survive. The game features a unique skill tree that provides reverse development to reduce the negative effects of the curse, allowing the character to eventually use it to their advantage. Ship battles are another critical aspect of the game, and players engage in intense battles using cannon ammunition obtained from ship traders or looted vessels. The constantly shifting winds and storms add to the challenge.

Managing the crew is also crucial, as they get hungry and thirsty over time and can become demotivated if any treasure is not found for a long time, potentially leading to internal rebellion. Treasure hunts are an essential part of the game, with chests containing food and weapons found on remote or hidden island locations, and treasure maps obtained from pirate ships leading players to buried treasure chests containing large amounts of gold.
